Aspirants seeking admission to 3 years Full-time Ph.D program should meet the following criteria as specified by the institute.

Academic Requirement:

Candidate should have a Master's degree or equivalent from a recognized university

Entrance Exam:

Candidates must qualify one of the following entrance test – IURAT.

Applicants fulfilling minimum eligibility criteria will be required to take Indus University Research Aptitude Test (IURAT) and thereafter appear for a personal interview (PI).
The Research Aptitude Test will comprise of two sections, one section on Research Methodology & Communication Skills and the other in the respective domain. The test paper will have computer-based multiple-choice type questions. Duration of the test will be of one hour.
During the Personal Interview(PI), the candidate will be required to make a presentation for about 10 to 15 minutes on the main theme of the proposed research, which will be followed by an interview by the panel. The Doctoral Research Committee(DRC) will test the potential of the applicant for carrying out research work.
Based on the academic / research / industrial record and the performance of the applicant in IURAT & PI, the DRC will recommend names of suitable candidates to the Executive President (Vice Chancellor) through Apex Research Committee(ARC).
Successful candidates will be informed of their selection through email within two weeks from the date of IURAT &PI.
Candidates who have qualified in CSIR-UGC/NET/ or M.Phil. will be exempted from the entrance test.
