Applications for B.E admissions are accepted through State CET Cell, while admissions are offered through the Centralized Admission Process (CAP) based on the guidelines set by the Competent Authority of Maharashtra Government.

Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for B.E admissions an aspiring candidate should be an Indian Citizen and must fulfill the following given criteria:

• Passed HSC or its equivalent with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with either Chemistry or Biology.
• The applicant must have obtained at least 50% aggregate (45% for backward classes/persons with disability for those belonging to Maharashtra only). OR
• Passed a Diploma course in Engineering & Technology with 50% aggregate (45% for backward classes/persons with disability for those belonging to Maharashtra only).OR
• Passed B.Sc. from a recognized University as defined by UGC and obtained at least 50% aggregate (45% for backward classes/persons with disability for those belonging to Maharashtra only).

Admission Process

Students for Maharashtra can appear for MHT-CET only, while students from other states can appear for either MHT-CET or JEE Mains.

JEE Mains Application Submission Requirements

The application fee for taking this exam varies with the type of candidature. The application fee for the general category is INR 325. The following section throws light on the requirements and the process of registration for JEE Mains.

Documents Required

• Scanned and recent photograph coloured or black/white (but clear contrast) JPG/JPEG format. Size should be between 10 kb to 200 kb.
• Scanned signature in JPG/JPEG format. Size should be between 4 kb to 30 kb.
• Application forms with unclear photographs will be rejected. 

How to Register?

• Visit the official website of JEE Main and click on “Fill Online Application Form”.
• Register by giving your personal details, to generate a user id and password.
• The application number will be generated after submitting the details for registration.
• The form requires personal details, address, and mobile number.
• You can set your security question and password to access the application for the future.
• Submit the application form by logging in with the same user id and password that you had set.

Requirements for MHT-CET

To apply for MHT-CET candidates can follow the steps:

• Log on to the official website and find the link on the left MHT-CET.
• Click for new registration.
• Set up your email id and password after receiving an OTP on the registered mobile number.
• Fill in the required details and then submit them to generate the application form.
• You will be redirected to an acknowledgments page, click the checkbox to begin filling your application.
• After filling relevant and authentic information, re-read the application and submit by uploading the photograph along with the fee.
• You will get a confirmation on your registered email id. 
• Keep a print out of both the application and the fee receipt for future reference.
