University College of Engineering, JNTUK, Vizianagaram, offers full-time M.Tech course at the postgraduate level. The seat intake for each specialization is 25. The minimum eligibility criterion for M.Tech is the candidates should possess B.E./B.Tech degree from any recognized university or a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Technology in the concerned discipline. Selection of candidates for M.Tech is done on the basis of their GATE score or rank obtained in AP-PGECET exam.

Students of foreign nationality are not eligible for the entrance exams.
Only after the exhaustion of the GATE rank holding candidates list, students who have appeared in the AP-PGECET exam are considered for admission.
GATE is an online computer-based exam with the time duration of 3 hours. The paper consists of multiple choice questions and numerical answer type questions.
AP-PGECET is a state level exam which is conducted by the Andhra University, Visakhapatnam, in lieu of the A.P. State Council of Higher Education (APSCHE).
AP-PGECET consists of only multiple choice questions with the time duration of 2 hours.
