Eligibility criteria for Part Time Ph.D: 4 Years

• Faculty who are working in the institutions which are affiliated to Tamil Nadu or MGR Medical University, Guindy Chennai.
• Having a minimum of 2 years of experience after PG.

Eligibility criteria for Part Time Ph.D: 3 Years

• Candidates who are not employed anywhere.
• Candidates will be available full time at PSG College oof Nursing during the study period. 
• Having a minimum of 2 years of experience after PG.

Non- Medical faculties who wish to register for a Ph.D degree should have obtained a minimum of 55% aggregate in their post graduate degree.

Eligibility criteria for NRI/FOREIGN candidates:
The candidates graduated from the Universities of State/Countries shall be permitted to Ph.D in this university, if the Postgraduate Degree obtained by the candidate is recognized by the concerned Central/State and should fullfil the follwing criteria and submit the following documents:

• The duration of the postgraduate degree  done by the candidates should be of full time with minimum ywo years duration.
• During the study period, they have submitted thesis as a part of their curriculum which should be one of the passing criteria.
• Syllabus of the postgraduate study should be submitted by the candidate for perusal.
• Genuineness of the degree certificate by the competent authority.
• Xerox copy of the Visa and passport.
• Registration certificate from the respective council.
• No objection certificate  from the Indian Embassy.
• To furnish certificate from the department of police as to whether any criminal case is pending against the candidate in the state of Tamil Nadu or any other state of India.
• An undertaking to be submitted in the form of affidavit under the surety of two Gazetted officers stating that if the Genuineness of all the certificates required by the university and in future that the candidate will be discharged from the course immediately and he/she will not claim any refund from the university.
• Candidate has to remit a sum of 400 US dollars or its equivalent towards the cost of application and 1500 US dollars  or its equivalent for issue of eligibilty certificate.

Eligibility criteria for Indian Candidates studying Abroad:
The candidates graduated from the Universities of State/Countries shall be permitted to Ph.D in this university, if the Postgraduate Degree obtained by the candidate is recognized by the concerned Central/State and should fullfil the follwing criteria and submit the following documents:
