Jyothi Engineering College M.tech Eligibility Criteria

The admissions to the M.Tech courses are strictly based on Merit. Following is the eligibility criteria for the students looking to get admission in Jyothi Engineering College for M. Tech (both management and government seats):

• The candidate should be of Indian Nationality
• The candidate should have a BE/B. Tech degree which is approved by AICTE
• The degree should be recognised by APJ Abdul Kalam Technology University
• Candidate should have a minimum aggregate of 60% in graduation
• For SC/ST category, the candidate should be “pass” in the graduation
• For SEBC, the minimum aggregate is 54%
• Candidates who have passed AMIE/AMIETE exam can also apply if the following  conditions are met:
  1. Candidate should have a valid GATE score
  2. Candidate should have atleast 3 years of work experience after graduation
  3. For Section B in the AMIE/AMIETE exam, a candidate should have minimum of 55% marks

• Candidates seeking admission in government quota needs to apply to the college in the recommended form. Candidates also needs to apply to the Directorate of Technical Education, Kerala (www.dtekerala.gov.in)
• Candidates who have a valid GATE score but are awaiting supplementary results are also eligible to apply provided a proof of qualifying degree is produced before the deadline mentioned 
• A candidate is eligible to apply only with a valid GATE score. For sponsored candidates, this is relaxed
• In case the seats remained unfilled, candidates who do not possesses a GATE score will be considered within state. In  case still the seats remain unfulfilled, the students from other states will be considered for admission

Jyothi Engineering College M.tech Selection Procedure 

• Candidates will be selected on the basis of GATE score
• Any vacant seat will be first filled with non-GATE candidates within state and later with students from other states
• The Merit list will be published on the college website
• The students who qualify will be admitted at an appointed date and time

Jyothi Engineering College M.tech Application Procedure 

• Candidates needs to apply and pay the fees online via the college website
• Candidates need not send any hard copies to the college
• Candidates seeking admission via government quota would need to apply via the Kerala DTE website www.dtekerala.gov.in
