I have a few friends from BVM and DDU and based on the reviews that I got from them, I will suggest you choose the former. BVM is better for Electrical, Electronics, Civil, Computer, IT branches. Here are some of the reasons why you should choose BVM.

It has the best laboratory in Gujrat for Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering.
The faculty base for the institute is great.
BVM is an autonomous college and they conduct their own examination. Which is better than the bulky syllabus of GTU.
The alumni association for BVM is quite good. They help students to conduct festivals such as UDDAN. UDDAN is one of the best festivals in Gujarat.
The sports facilities offered at BVM are also better.
There are many well-known alumni of BVM. A.M. Naik is one of them. He is the CEO of L&T.
BVM also offers good placement opportunities. In the recent placement drive, the average CTC offered was 4-5 LPA. The highest CTC offered was 12 LPA.

Overall, compared to DDU, BVM is definitely a better option.
