Eligibility For Full-Time Candidates:

• Candidates with MD / MS, DM / MCh /PG Diploma/ MSc (Medical) degree from MCI recognized college / Institution are eligible for Ph.D. Programs in Faculty of Medicine.
• Candidates with MDS or equivalent Master’s degree from DCI recognized college / Institution are eligible for PhD Programs in Faculty of Dental Sciences.
• Candidate with PG degree in Physiotherapy (MPT), PG degree in Pharmacy (M Pharm) & Pharma D and PG degree in Management from a college / Institution recognized by IAP / PCI / AICTE / UGC as the case may be are eligible for PhD in Faculty of Allied Sciences.
• Candidate with PG degree in Nursing (MSc) from a college / Institution recognized by INC are eligible for PhD Programs in Faculty of Nursing.
• Regular employees of Sumandeep Vidyapeeth Deemed to be University are eligible for “Inservice” PhD programs in their respective faculty provided they meet the eligibility criteria mentioned in UGC (Minimum Standards and Procedure for Award of M. Phil /PhD Degrees) Regulations 2016.

Eligibility For Part-Time Candidates:

• Part-time candidates from outside the institute must be a full time/regular faculty of Medicine/ Dental /Allied Health Sciences with the minimum of 2 years experience at the time of admission and sponsored by the concerned institute/organization. The candidate should be working in an organization which encourages and facilitates research. He/she meets the requisite minimum qualification for admission to Ph. D. program of Sumandeep Vidyapeeth deemed to be University. The candidate must submit a "consent & no objection certificate" from his/her parent organization recognized by concern council. Other terms & conditions remain the same as in Sumandeep Vidyapeeth PhD Regulations for Admission to PhD Program.
• Candidate must have scored a minimum of 55% marks for General Category and 45% of marks for those belonging to SC/ST/OBC (non-creamy layer)/differently-abled category in theentrance examination conducted by the Universities. Provided further that, if in spite of the above relaxation, the seats allotted for SC/ST/OBC(Non-Creamy layer)/Differently-Abled categories remain unfilled, the concerned Universities shall launch a Special Admission Drive, for that particular category within one month from the date of closure of admissions of General Category. The concerned University will devise its own admission procedure, along with eligibility conditions to ensure that most of the seats under these categories are filled.
