Undergraduate Diploma of minimum three years duration from NIFT / NID.

Admission Guidelines

On the basis of GAT score, Candidates will be called for Group Discussion/Personal Interview (GD/PI).

Eligibility Criteria

The candidates must have completed B.Des or any other equivalent degree from NIFT or any other recognized college.
They must appear for NIFT entrance exams.

Selection Criteria

The candidates first have to appear for GAT and CAT conducted by the college.
Shortlisted candidates will be called for Group Discussion and Personal Interview based on marks obtained in the exams mentioned above.
Final selection is made on the aggregate marks and weightage given to above-mentioned parameters is as follows:
- Creative Ability Test (CAT): 40%
- General Ability Test (GAT): 30%
- Group Discussion and Personal Interview: 30%

For Fashion Design or Apparel Design, NIFT is the best institute in the country. If you aspire to become a designer or stylist, then choose NIFT. It offers many design specializations such as Fashion, Accessories, Textile, Leather, Knitwear, etc.

For Visual Communication and Product Design, IIT Bombay will be better. IITB basically offers Graphic Design, but it has more importance due to the IIT tag.
