College of Veterinary and Animal Sciences is spread in sprawling area of 200 acres in green areas of Bikaner. It was started in late 1954 by its founder Lt, Col.A.C.Agarwalla. It is divided into various departments, which include laboratories, libraries, dormitories, clinical complex, examination hall, etc. The college became the part of The Rajasthan University of veterinary and animal science ever since in 2010.The college was established keeping in mind livestock and its development in rural economy of the area surrounded. Many research schemes are undertaken in field of vaternity and animal sciences.

Why to join College of veterinary and animal sciences?
1. Best in class Academics:
The college offers both U.G and P.G courses in fields of vaternity and animal sciences, also diploma courses are offered for Pre U.G students. Doctoral courses i.e. PhD in vatenary areas like physiology, anatomy Biochemistry, etc. The college has an admission capacity of around 3100, including all academic courses offered.
2. Varied Facilities Offered:
The college has hostel facilities available for both boys and girls. It also supports sports and extra-curriculum activities for which playgrounds are available for games like volley ball, hockey, basket ball, etc.It also supports gymnasium for preparing students for inter-sports activities. The college also has guest house and faculty house consisting of seven and ten rooms respectively.

The college has many publications of books, journals, and leaflets by its college faculty they have written books on subject like Domestic animal obstetrics in year 2012, livestock and poultry production in 2000, and many more around 23 in number.
4. Associated with NCC R and V SQDN unit:
The college is associated with HQS and NCC unit of Jodhpur. It is providing facilities for camp and institute training programmes, mountaineering arrange summer camps, rock climbing, etc. The institute can take upto two hundred cadets i.e. its authorized strength. The students who clear the programs can appear for written exams and can be qualified for police, CSIF and, can join private industries.
