The National Institute of Ayurveda, Jaipur, popularly known as NIA Jaipur was established on 7th February 1976 by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India. It is an autonomous body under the Department of AYUSH, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India. It has also received NABH certificate awarded by the National Accreditation Board for Hospitals and Healthcare providers.
NIA Jaipur offers the Graduate Course, 14 specialties for Post Graduation Course, Fellowship Program for PhD holders, and Diploma Course in AYUSH Nursing & Pharmacy. Also, the institute is offering the Certificate e-course on “Dietetics, Nutrition & Immunity in Ayurveda” to explain the concepts of Dietetics, Nutrition and Immunity.
The minimum eligibility to apply for BAMS is 10+2 examination or equivalent with 50% marks in aggregate. Admissions to the BAMS program are done through the DSRRAU Entrance Test score.
Applicants to MS and MD courses must hold a BAMS degree. Admissions to MS and MD are done on the basis of the scores obtained in NIA JPGET entrance exam.
The minimum eligibility to apply for Ph.D. is having an MS/MD degree from a recognized institute. Admission to Ph.D. is done on the basis of the scores obtained in the Entrance Exam followed by Personal Interview.
Applicants to Diploma in Ayurveda Nursing and Pharmacy and Certificate course in Panchakarma must pass 10+2.

National Institute of Ayurveda, Jaipur offers BAMS in Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery with total 92 seats at the undergraduate level. Applicants who have passed 10+2/intermediate with 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology from a recognised board are considered eligible to apply for BAMS.
For Admission of Foreign Nationals, the candidate need not appear in the Entrance Test. They are considered by the Ministry of AYUSH, Govt. of India and ICCR for Admission.
