BA Sociology Honors & BA Sociology Program

There are universities which offer two kind of undergraduate courses in Sociology. These are a BA Honors in Sociology and BA Program or BA Pass in Sociology. There is no substantial difference between the two courses. The core courses and electives generally remain the same. The only difference is that in an Honors course, a student has an option to specialize in one or more subject related to sociology.

For an average student the entrance exam is mostly easy. The test is of 100 marks and there is no negative marking. Here are some things you should know about it.

  • It is a multiple choice based test in which students have to use a Blue or Black pen.
  • The total marks is 100.
  • The exam is 2 hours long.
  • Each question will carry one mark.
  • There is no negative marking in the entrance test.

The questions will be based on General Knowledge and Aptitude which will be of 25 marks. And the rest of the 75 marks will be based on your subject. Make sure that you are well aware of the current trends and affairs.
