Aspirants seeking admission in this program should meet the following criteria
FIRST YEAR
Should have passed XII standard examination from Maharashtra Board or it’s equivalent with Mathematics and Statistics as one of the subject and should have secured not less then 50% marks in aggregate for open category, 40% marks in aggregate in case of reserved category candidate.
SECOND YEAR
Should have passed Diploma (Three years after S.S.C. i.e X std.) in Information Technology / Computer Technology / Computer Engineering / Computer Science / Electrical, Electronics, Video Engineering and allied branches. Mechanical and allied branches / Civil and allied branches of Engineering are eligible for direct admission to the second year of the B.Sc. (I.T.) degree course.
OR
Candidates with post HSC – Diploma in Information Technology / Computer Technology / Computer Engineering / Computer Science / and allied branches will be eligible for direct admission to the second year of B.Sc. (I.T).
Diploma should be recognized by the Board of Technical Education or any other recognized Govt. body. Minimum marks required: 45% aggregate for open category candidates and 40% aggregate for reserved category candidate
Other basic eligibility criteria
- FIRST YEAR
Qualifying examination required: SY JC Examination of MSBSHSE or any other examination recognized as equivalent thereto as per eligibility norms presented by Mumbai University on their website www.mu.ac.in.
- SECOND YEAR
A student of F.Y. Arts and Commerce is eligible to take admission in S.Y.(Sem III) if he has cleared all the courses of Sem I and Sem II or has failed in not more than four courses in the Sem I & Sem II taken together. (However, the student should not fail in more than two courses in each semester.)
A student of F.Y. Science is eligible to take admission in S.Y. (Sem III) if he has cleared all the courses of Sem I and Sem II or has failed in not more than six courses in Sem I and Sem II taken together but has failed in not more than three courses in each semester.
The students who have cleared the first year ATKT examination are also eligible for admission to the second year as per University norms.
- THIRD YEAR
Qualifying examination required: Second Year Examination of the University of Mumbai or any examination recognized as equivalent thereto. (The rules of ATKT in force, if any, will be applicable)
