The Network & Telecommunications Engineering Technologist designs, implements, maintains, manages, secures and troubleshoots data communication systems. His/her field of expertise range from computer-based local-area networks to high-speed Internet technologies, from traditional copper wiring over fibre-optics to wireless systems, from local resource sharing to international e-commerce. Located between those traditional programs of computer information systems and electronic engineering technology, this program answers the specific skills demanded by the Information Technology (IT) industry.The program also offers the option for co-op placement in the industry after the third semester.
