The Higher Education Group (HEG) is Canada's leading center for graduate studies and research in the field of higher education. Founded by the University of Toronto in 1969, the HEG has been the academic home for many of the leading scholars in the field of Canadian higher education.
The Higher Education Group specializes in the study of universities, community colleges, and other post-secondary institutions, the relationship between these institutions and the broader society in which they operate, and the nature of what takes place inside these institutions. The study of higher education embraces critical examination, both historical and contemporary, of phenomena related to tertiary-level education, particularly tertiary-level institutions and systems in Canada.

Two letters of reference (one academic and one professional).
Résumé provides clear and complete information about the applicant's work or field experience related to their proposed studies.
Statement of Intent which 1) indicates which of the program's four Course Groupings most interests them, and 2) names at least two faculty members whose interests are closest to their own.
