• Advanced Diploma in Environmental Technology at Georgian College is offered as a 3 years (6 semesters) program.
  • It is an on-campus, co-op program offered on a full-time basis.
  • Georgian College's Environmental Technician and Technology programs have enjoyed a partnership with the City of Barrie that provides fostered support for special projects, and co-operative education work terms. 
  • The program requirements are:
    • 33 Program Courses
    • 1 Program Option Course
    • 2 Communications Courses
    • 3 General Education Courses
    • 3 Co-op Work Terms
  • To graduate from this program, the passing weighted average for promotion through each semester, from year to year, and to graduate is 60%.
  • Additionally, a student must attain a minimum of 50% or a letter grade of P (Pass) or S (Satisfactory) in each course in each semester.
  • Students in the Environmental Technology diploma program cap off their studies by completing innovative applied research projects over the summer.
  • This program is accredited by the Canadian Association for Co-operative Education (CAFCE).
  • Students have to complete 3 co-op work terms. Co-op is facilitated as a supported, competitive job search process.
  • Graduates have found employment in the environmental field working for small and large corporations including environmental consulting firms, government agencies, and environmental services departments in a variety of organizations.​
  • The average salary goes up to 38,000 USD after completion of the program.
