• Advanced Diploma in Business Administration-Accounting at Georgian College is offered as a 3 years (6 semesters) program.
  • It is an on-campus, co-op program offered on a full-time basis.
  • In this program, students are introduced to the various functional aspects of business in general and accounting.
  • Students have to successfully complete 27 program courses, 2 Communications courses, 2 program option courses, 5 general education courses, and 3 co-op work terms.
  • Students are required to complete a co-op and career preparation course scheduled prior to their first co-op work term. 
  • Georgian is a recognized leader in student work experience. Students will get hands-on experience that needs students to give an advantage in the career marketplace.
  • Co-op work terms are scheduled according to a formal sequence that alternates academic and co-op semesters.
  • To graduate from this program, the passing weighted average for promotion through each semester, from year to year, and to graduate is 60%.
  • Additionally, a student must attain a minimum of 50% or a letter grade of P (Pass) or S (Satisfactory) in each course in each semester unless otherwise stated on the course outline.
  • Students can pursue the Ontario Chartered Professional Accountant designation (CPA) upon completion of a university degree recognized by CPA.
  • Students work in a broad range of employment settings in all sectors of business and industry, including banks and other financial institutions, government offices, public accounting firms, small businesses, self-employment, tax preparation firms, financial planning firms, manufacturing firms, and non-profit organizations.
  • The average salary goes up to 41,000 USD after completion of the program.
