The Computer Science Technology program includes courses in programming languages, internet programming, graphical design, databases and computer networking. Students learn to develop a variety of computer applications, business websites (e-commerce) and create applications (apps) for mobile devices using Android technology. Included also are English courses, French courses, as well as courses in the humanities, mathematics, business administration, psychology and physical education. Students in their last semester are placed in a company to do an extensive internship or “stage” three days per week for the fifteen weeks of the semester. These companies, large and small, operate in a variety of fields, giving the students an invaluable working experience. Employers regard all aspects of this training as being important for future employees.Upon graduation, a significant number of students are offered employment with their “stage” company. As well, students who decide to pursue university studies often come to an arrangement for part-time employment while they continue their higher education. This career program is open to qualified students graduating from high school, mature students returning to studies, and to people who are changing their field of study
