This one-year Ontario College Certificate program combines arboriculture science with practical tree care skills. Urban forests provide many environmental, social and economic benefits in today`s society.
Trees improve air quality, reduce noise and energy consumption, provide habitat for wild life, beautify the landscape and increase property value.
It is the role of professional arborists to ensure the prosperity of this critical resource.Students gain foundational knowledge and skills related to a range of tree care services, including pruning, removal, fertilization, tree planting and the diagnoses and management of tree diseases.
Students pay special attention to the science of tree anatomy and physiology and how it relates to tree maintenance.

Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) or equivalent.
English, Grade 12 (ENG4C) or equivalent with a grade of 60% or higher.
