• Geographic Information Systems (GIS) technologies are used to acquire, analyze and present spatial data in an ever-increasing number of disciplines, from archaeology to zoology, in both the private and public sectors.
  • This one-year Ontario College Graduate Certificate program (offered in three consecutive terms) is designed to introduce GIS technologies and concepts to individuals who have previously obtained a degree or diploma in a related field.
  • Topic areas include GIS, cartography, remote sensing, programming and application customization, database design and web GIS. Level 01 introduces various software streams including GIS, database management and programming and provides the theoretical foundation for the following semesters.
  • The following levels focus on spatial analysis, data presentation, interface customization, and project management.
