• To acquire a knowledge of the English language in its variations and in the diversity of its speeches;
  • To acquire a knowledge of several literatures of English expression, situated in their historical, literary and cultural context, and to know how to compare them with the literatures of other cultures and linguistic communities;
  • To study the role of English in a global perspective and in relation to other languages, especially French;
  • To learn the application of English language skills in the areas of writing, translation, communications, media, education and vocational training.
