This program aims to train historians who wish to undertake and succeed in higher education; teach and promote history in colleges; work and shine in areas that value skills in documentary and archival research. They will have acquired knowledge about the past, and will have developed capacities of analysis, synthesis and contextualization allowing them to contribute to the dialogue and reflection on the relationship between history and memory within our societies.
LEARNING STRATEGIES
History training is based on lectures, introductory or advanced workshops, seminars and research activities leading to the completion of a dissertation. Classes, workshops, seminars and dissertations are focused on the need: to reserve a large place for the historical document in the study of the past; to illustrate the diversity of methods of treatment and analysis of ancient, modern and contemporary documentary corpora; to establish the importance of theoretical thinking; to place communication and dissemination of results on the path of excellence.
