- At the core of the program are three graduate design studio courses in which the students work select projects.
- In addition to the required course work, students undertake a thesis project, which should be a substantial piece of original practice led the research.
- The Division of Design considers "design research" to be rooted in the practice of design.
- Thesis Projects should have a theoretical foundation but will be primarily visual and practical, with an emphasis on the application of design thinking.

Eligibility & Entry Requirement
- Candidate should possess a Bachelor of Design Degree, a Bachelor’s Degree in a related discipline, or the equivalent qualifications from a four-year university or college program
- Applicants from other disciplines are welcome; however, they may be admitted on the condition that they successfully complete specific qualifying courses at the undergraduate level. A minimum grade of “B” must be earned in all courses.
