Creative Writing is an excellent foundation for a variety of studies in the Arts. The KPU Creative Writing Department offers students a community of creativity in which writers discover a purposeful craft and explore the gifts of the imagination.
We offer award-winning faculty, small class sizes, and a rigorous approach to the craft of writing. Students wishing to major in Creative Writing are strongly encouraged to complete an Associate of Arts degree with a concentration in Creative Writing.

Eligibility & Entry Requirement

Academic Eligibility:

Students have graduated high school (secondary school) OR completed 24+ credits of undergraduate-level credits with a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.0.

Indian Student Eligibility:

Students must require one of the following:

Indian Senior School Certificate (ISC)
Intermediate Certificate
Higher School Certificate
Higher Secondary School Certificate (HSSC) or All India Senior School Certificate

Language Requirments:

Students whose official language is not English are required to submit IELTS or TOEFL scores.
Students are required to submit an SAT or ACT score to be considered for admission.

International students who currently or will hold a degree from an institution where English is the primary language of instruction, do not need to submit a TOEFL or IELTS score report.
