• Geography is the study of environmental phenomena in their locational context. This includes aspects of both the human and physical environment, such as settlement, population, economy, topography, climate, vegetation, and water. The Geography Department offers a Bachelor of Science program through the Faculty of Science and a Bachelor of Arts through the Faculty of Arts.
  • Students who major in geography, particularly those with graduate or specialized qualifications, may go on to related careers in government or private corporations in such areas as environmental and land use planning, parks and recreation, resource management, water use, and meteorology.
