The Department of International Languages offers programs in Mandarin, Chinese, Japanese, Spanish, and German, as well as courses in Korean and Arabic. Studying languages helps students to develop skills such as cultural awareness, formal and informal speaking, knowledge of other countries, listening, mental agility, proof-reading, report-writing, editing, summarizing and verbal accuracy.
