- Environmental science students explore the complex relationships between humans and the environment, drawing on a diverse range of disciplines. This is the student’s opportunity to study some of the biggest challenges facing our planet. Students can study environmental science at both the BSc and BSc (honors) level.
- Acadia program is accredited by the Environmental Careers Organization (ECO) Canada. It includes a core of courses at the first and second-year levels in biology, earth science, and chemistry, with a central theme of environmental science courses that provide a thread tying the other courses together. Focus areas in the four-year program may be designed to address student’s individual needs but can also be selected from ecology, conversation biology, environmental geoscience, environmental policy, and sustainable development. The degree requires an intensive field course in environmental science and a thesis project for honors students. An award-winning co-op option is also available that let students alternate work terms with study terms, meaning you can earn while students learn.
