• Throughout the degree, there is an emphasis on practical experience and preparing students thoroughly for the engineering profession.
  • In addition to the hands-on laboratory sessions and 60 days of industry experience, students will complete a research project and dissertation applying all their formal knowledge to a real-world problem.
  • Student’s project will provide insight to the profession of a Structural Engineer.
  • The Master of Engineering Science (Structural Engineering) has been accorded full accreditation at the level of Professional Engineer by Engineers Australia and graduates are eligible for Graduate membership at the Professional Level.
  • To complete this degree students must complete 16 units. 
  • The research project and dissertation can also be a stepping stone to further research degrees, such as PhD.
