About this course:
- Effective management of people and teams is critical to a business achieving its objectives. University’s management major provides the tools and concepts. Students need to understand how organisations work and the critical role of managers within them.
- An effective manager needs to be a good leader who can summarise a situation accurately and make sound decisions, delegate appropriately and inspire staff. Managers make good decisions when they understand the business they are in and how it fits into a wider context.
- Studying this management major will equip students with essential leadership, teamwork and networking skills. They will build knowledge in important areas such as developing and implementing strategy, driving organisational change and leading teams to achieve organisational objectives.
- This major draws on subjects from a number of disciplines in the Business School to give students a well-rounded understanding of management.
