• Mechanical engineering involves the conversion and control of energy and motion in machinery and systems. Mechanical engineers design, analyse and improve products as diverse as refrigerators, washing machines, solar water heaters, pumps, engines, compressors, wind turbines and air-conditioning systems.
  • In this program students will have the opportunity to specialise in computer-aided engineering and design, industrial aerodynamics and computational fluid dynamics, energy conservation and renewable energy, or mechatronics, dynamics and control.
  • In the first 2 years, students will study basic mechanical engineering and science courses. These are aimed at developing competence in essential analytical problem-solving skills and design capabilities.
