• The University of Queensland offers a Master of Science in Nursing Studies for a duration of 2 years.
  • It is an on-campus program offered on a full-time basis.
  • In this program, students will learn to work effectively in interprofessional teams to promote quality health outcomes through safe and effective nursing practice developed to meet the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia’s Registered Nurse Standards for Practice.
  • Students will commence their clinical placements in week four of the program.
  • During the first-year students will normally complete approximately 38 x 8-hour shifts and in the final year, students will complete approximately 86 x 8-hour shifts.
  • The sample course of the program are:
    • Early lifespan nursing
    • Musculoskeletal health and injury prevention
    • Cardiovascular and respiratory nursing
    • Neuroendocrine and MH nursing
  • Students will learn through lectures, tutorials, work placements, online study, research experience, and seminars.
