The University of Queensland offers Graduate Certificate in Information Technology for a duration of 6 months.
It is an on-campus program offered on a full-time basis.
Through this program, students will learn to core IT concepts and techniques, with a strong focus on computer-based information systems and database technologies.
Students will complete four courses from a huge range of options, which cover topics from an introductory to an advanced level, including software systems, database systems, information security, and user-centered design.
Sample courses of the program include:

- Design Computing Studio 1 - Interactive Technology
- Introduction to Information Systems
- Relational Database Systems
On completion, students can choose to progress to the Graduate Diploma or Master of Information Technology.

Eligibility & Entry Requirement

Academic Eligibility:

Students must hold a degree equivalent to an Australian bachelor's degree in a field other than Information Technology or Computer Science with a GPA of at least 4.5 on a 7 point scale.
Or, have a relevant post-secondary study and at least 2 years of relevant work experience.
Applications on the basis of post-secondary study and work experience will be individually assessed.

Along with the minimum eligibility requirements, international students hailing from non-English speaking countries need to prove English proficiency through IELTS/TOEFL/any equivalent test.
