• The University of Queensland offers a Master of Science in Molecular Biology Research Extensive for a duration of 1.5 years.
  • It is an on-campus program offered on a full-time basis.
  • The program will enhance technical and research skills in core areas of molecular biology, protein technology, and bioinformatics through a two- or three-semester laboratory immersion.
  • Students will learn through lectures, tutorials, research experience, laboratory work, and workshops.
  • The sample course that students could study in this program are:
    • Advanced Molecular Biology Laboratory
    • Advanced Protein Technology
    • Advanced Genomics and Bioinformatics
    • Immunology and Infectious Diseases
    • Concepts in Bioinformatics
  • In the last semester, students will hone their scientific communication skills when they present their findings in a scientific manuscript suitable for publication in a relevant scientific journal, and for peer review to their lab group members.
  • The University of Queensland ranks 1st in Queensland for biological sciences by QS World University Rankings 2021 and 1st in Australia for biotechnology by Global Ranking of Academic Subjects 2021.
