The student in this degree will gain valuable skills that they can apply in reasoning, reporting, analysis, negotiation, communication and advocacy to resolve complex legal problems. Throughout the degree, the student will study core courses that teach them the fundamental legal concepts that underpin the Australian legal system. Courses such as torts, contracts, criminal law, and constitutional law will give the student a good understanding of basic legal principles.
