- One of only two health psychology degrees currently available in Australia, the Master of Psychology (Health) allows students to develop the psychological skills and clinical expertise to work with physical health-related issues.?
- Learning from teachers who are leaders in the discipline, students gain insight into the prevention and management of disease and illness; the promotion and maintenance of health; the psychological factors that contribute to illness; and the improvement of the health care system and health policy. Along with coursework and research components, the degree also provides hands-on experience in health promotion and clinical health psychology with three supervised industry placements totaling over 1000 hours in a variety of government and non-government organizations.
